Even with an extra hour, this was one of those weekends I just didn’t want to end. We had a great Halloween which started off with Jack’s school party Friday afternoon. Ben’s school didn’t have fall parties this year and instead they did a “fun with reading day” all day. Yeaaahhh. He did get to dress up as Captain America though so that’s that. I’ve been on the hunt for a fall wreath for forever. Happy Halloweve! I hope the weather cooperates here and the rain holds off for all the little trick or treaters. I can’t believe when we wake up on Sunday not only will we gain an hour (thanks time change) but it will also be NOVEMBER!!! Creamy Caramel Sauce
There’s something so fall about fresh crisp apples racked through some ooey gooey caramel sauce. Although I love the caramel in the tubs from the grocery store, when I saw this recipe from the Pioneer Women I knew I had to make it. In all honesty, the texture of this sauce and even the taste is pretty different from the store bought kind, but it’s way fresher and only has 4 ingredients. It’s more sauce like than it is stringy caramel, but the entire batch along with 5 huge granny smith apples were devoured in no time. Weekend Recap
I really could have used one extra day between Sunday and Monday. I got more done around the house this weekend than I have in the past 6 months since we’ve moved in. No joke. The weather on Friday and Saturday was cold and dreary which meant I got to breakout my rain boots for the first time since Summer. Saturday was perfect for watching Halloween movies (thank you ABC Family) and not getting out of our pjs.
