Weekend Recap
It was cloudy and cool the entire weekend which made it feel like the first few days of fall. I’m sure it will be back in the 90’s next week, but we’re soaking up the cooler temperatures while we can. It rained Friday night and all day Saturday which made for the perfect excuse to hang around the house. I finished reading Sharp Objects and started the HBO series. I loved the book but think the show is a little slow. Here’s to hoping it gets better.

Summer’s over, fall is almost here, and I’m determined to finish this year just as strong as I started it. Here’s my goal update for August.

Labor Day Weekend 2018
We had the best Labor Day weekend filled with friends, pool time, and very little laundry. I don’t think I put on makeup once the entire 3 day weekend and I basically rotated between swimsuits and pajamas. A new Asian restaurant opened this week and a few of us tried out their steamed buns. They were so good I made J eat them with me on Friday night and we both agreed it may be one of the top 5 foods we’ve ever had.

Favorite Home Finds Under $25
We’re all familiar with Spring Cleaning, but did you also know there’s such a thing for fall? As temperatures get cooler and the days get shorter, open up those windows, dust those neglected baseboards, and toss out those items you’ve been keeping for way too long. And just in case you’re looking to spruce up things with a few new items, I’ve got 10 of my favorite home finds and they’re all under $25!
