    Our Very Own Luau

After a rough start to our weekend, a little luau bbq was just what we needed and my parent’s graciously offered to throw us a laid back engagement party at their house. Of course Mrs. Bojangles was there. And Mr. Bojangles himself. My sweet friend Molly over at Molly’s Musings who drove home late and in the dark just so she could make it to the party. Brooke & I. Without her I would not survive work. Of course, Ben loved all the attention. Thank you to all of our friends and family for all of your support and love. We love you all!

    Memorial Day Weekend 2011

This Memorial Day weekend turned out to be a lot different than last years. You can read about last year’s fun here & here. The weekend got started off with a trip to the ER on Friday night. Without going into too much detail Ben had a lot of swelling in his umm, boy region. Poor thing kept saying my pee-pee hurts, my pee-pee hurts. 5 hours later we were sent home with lots of meds and no real reason for the swelling.  Saturday morning we woke up to find Ben’s hands, feet, and face were all swollen too. Poor little guy could barely see out of his eyes. At this point the…

    Weekend Recap

This past weekend went way too fast, as they always seem to do.  Friday night we hung around the house and soaked up some quality family time. Once Ben was in bed J and I watched The Tourist. After debating over what movie to watch for 20 minutes we settled on this not expecting much especially since it had less than 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. Surprisingly we both thought it was pretty good. Especially the ending. You have to keep watching until the end. Saturday was reserved for clearing out the forest of weeds that decided to make their home in our front flower beds. And to keep those pesky plants…

    Thoughts and Prayers with Joplin

Last night only 240 miles away from us, an F4 tornado ripped through the town of Joplin, MO. Over 100 people were killed and most of the town was destroyed including St. John’s Hospital. Please pray for this town and all those affected by the horrible storm. To find out how you can help click here.

    Random Mid-Week Thoughts

Last weekend J and I went to a wedding reception of two of his friends from high school. They got married in Jamaica, and had the reception a few weekends later. Since it was in J’s home town we stayed the night with his parents and in the morning we woke up to this. Dog and Baby. Both captivated by a squirrel.  I love orange juice with snacks like popcorn or pretzels but not so much with breakfast. Anytime I fly I get orange juice in a cup of ice. Do you ever have those days where you have grand dreams of getting tons of things done only to realize…
