Happy Thursday! Today I’m recapping our trip to San Diego, California. Of all the places I’ve visited, both in the United States and internationally, San Diego is one of my favorites. It’s the perfect combination of city and beach life and 70 degree weather year round is my dream!

Memorial Day Weekend 2016
If only all weekends could be this great. And to think of it…minus the extra day, why don’t we make all weekends feel like a holiday weekend? Our weekend started off on Friday night with Ben’s baseball game in which it started pouring five minutes into the game. Saturday was the usual grocery shopping and cleaning and I picked up this flag from Target and put it on our mailbox and I’m loving it. Memorial Weekend & Moving Day
Our Memorial Weekend looked a little different than years past. We moved the final boxes and fixed up the last few things in our old house until the early morning hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Next year I’m planning on having a much more festive Memorial Day. As of today everything at the old house is down and all that’s left now is for the new family to move in. Now that we can focus all of our efforts on the new house, we have a lot to get done this Summer including refinishing and staining the deck, adding a fence, building the kids a play structure, and maybe…

Memorial Day Weekend 2012
Our Memorial Day weekend was jam packed but it was nice to spend time together with family. 2 years ago we took Ben to the airshow and went in the middle of the day. It was miserable and hot so this year we went right when they opened at 9:30am. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and the breeze was wonderful! Memorial Day Weekend 2011
This Memorial Day weekend turned out to be a lot different than last years. You can read about last year’s fun here & here. The weekend got started off with a trip to the ER on Friday night. Without going into too much detail Ben had a lot of swelling in his umm, boy region. Poor thing kept saying my pee-pee hurts, my pee-pee hurts. 5 hours later we were sent home with lots of meds and no real reason for the swelling.
