What a Christmas! J and I both agreed that this was one of the best Christmas’ we’ve ever had and a lot of that had to do with celebrating the holiday through the eyes of a child. So let’s get on with the Christmas recap.
On Christmas Eve morning Ben and I went over to my parent’s house to eat breakfast and to bake Santa’s cookies. Since Ben was only 10 months old last Christmas, this was the first year we did this and he absolutely loved it.
Usually on Christmas Eve we go to J’s aunt’s house for a big dinner and to exchange presents with his extended family, but a few of the kids had strep and everyone decided it was best to stay home. We ended up eating a nice dinner at home, relaxing in our pajamas, and making sure everything was ready for the next day.

Ben was not too thrilled to be up early on Christmas morning, but his mood soon turned around when he saw all the presents that were left for him under the tree.

Ben got some really neat things for Christmas and J and I did pretty well for ourselves as well.
After we opened presents at our house we went over to my parent’s house for lunch and to exchange presents with them.
After a quick nap, we packed up all the presents and headed to J’s parent’s house for dinner and even more celebrations.
It was a late night at J’s parents and by the time we got on the road Ben was out. He was so tired he slept in until 8 the next morning and this is what we woke up to. And these are just from our parents. The things we got Ben were on the other side of the living room. So you guess what I did all today,
It was so nice to spend time with all our families. I can’t wait to see how much Ben will change by the time next Christmas rolls around. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
