Another weekend has come and gone. On Friday night Ben’s preschool had a picnic to celebrate it’s 15 year anniversary. “Picnic” doesn’t really do it justice since it was more like a small carnival. There was bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, cotton candy, horse rides, and lots of games. The school also had dinner catered in for all the families and staff. I’m so happy we made the switch to this school. The environment is better, the teachers are better, and the amount of things they do with the children is awesome.
Jack wasn’t quite sure what to think about cotton candy. Despite how sweet it tasted, he definitely did not like how sticky it was.
On Saturday we ate lunch with my in-laws and then the boys stayed the night with them. I rented Divergent and I don’t know why it took me so long to watch it. I’ve read the first 2 books and loved them, but I was scared I might not like the movie. It was actually pretty good and Four isn’t bad to look at. Just sayin.
J and I went out to dinner later that night with some friends we haven’t seen in forever. I wore my go to black dress with pockets that I’ve had forever and a little leather jacket I bought at a boutique in New York when J and I went several years ago.
We had a leisurely Sunday morning and I tried to catch up on all the laundry, but no matter how much I wash, fold, and put away there is always some still in the hampers. Ugh. I finally gave up and read these. Clean clothes are over-rated.
That night we went over to my parent’s house and J installed their new ceiling fans.
While the big boys worked on the fans, this little guy played his favorite game of put lids on containers. I swear this keeps him occupied for quite some time.
Currently both kids are asleep and after I wrap up this post I’m going to work on actual work for a statewide meeting I have tomorrow. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
