It’s been way too long since I’ve linked up for a Friday post so let’s jump right in.

I picked up this $3 pouch from the Target Dollar Spot and it’s perfect for carrying my phone/debit card/random odds and ends to the pool while keeping things nice and dry. And I’m in love with the stripes.

A couple weekends ago we went on a short weekend trip to St. Louis and ate dinner one night at Cantina Laredo. We’ve eaten at another location when we were in Branson and had been dreaming about this upscale Mexican ever since. I tried something new and got the steak tacos and I ended up taking off the tortilla and just eating the steak it was that good. If you have one near you you’ve got to go there!

While in St. Louis I made sure to stop by Nordstrom and try on this tunic in person. As much as I wanted to love it, it was just ok. I ended up buying it because everybody loves it and I thought it would grow on me, but I’m totally regretting that purchase now.

Last night J and I picked up dinner from our favorite steak place using the rest of our anniversary gift card and popped open the champagne we didn’t drink from our anniversary night. Although it was a random Thursday night with kids screaming and playing in the background, it was a nice little treat and a great reminder to enjoy each day, even the normal ones.

I recapped Mother’s Day here, but totally forgot to mention that J took the boys to pick out flowers for our pots out front (something he does with them every mother’s day). They picked out these beautiful roses that are really starting to open up. The color is to die for. #nofilter.
