This weekend was one for the books. I wish I could rewind and do it all over again because it was that great. Friday night was my work’s annual Trivia for Autism event. I’m proud to announce that team Trivia Newton John took 3rd place, we think. Only 1st and 2nd place were announced but we felt confident about our final score 🙂
Despite a late night Friday, we rushed out of bed Saturday morning to attend an Easter egg hunt at the Governor’s Mansion. The group was fairly small and all the kids got SO many eggs. Better than the candy though was getting to hold the fluffy little chicks.
Can we talk about the flowers?! There were tulips everywhere and they were beyond gorgeous. It was very tempting to not pick a big ole handful 🙂
The governor and first lady could not have been nicer.
That night we went to dinner with my family to celebrate my dad and sister’s birthdays. I wore my new top from Amazon and it’s everything I hoped it would be. Comfortable, flattering, and I love the sleeve detailing. And you can’t beat the price! Unlike some Amazon finds, it does fit true to size and I’m in a medium.
Sunday we woke up to a mix of rain and snow (insert tears), but the weather quickly redeemed itself and the day turned out to be beautiful. The boys and I saw Bumblebee at our movie theater’s free spring movies followed by grocery shopping since I didn’t place our online order in time. We ended the weekend decorating easter eggs and prepping for the week ahead. I also tried a new way to “boil” our eggs and not only was it a success, it was so easy! Make sure to check back for tomorrow’s post for the DIY.
