    Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a nice long break made even longer by a snow day yesterday. The kids have been out of school since Wednesday so I’m glad we’re finally getting back into our normal routine today. Despite blizzard conditions on Sunday night, the weather during the week of Thanksgiving was beautiful. We took advantage of the 60+ degrees with lots of time outside and an open sunroof.

    Pumpkin Patch 2018

With snow on the ground and temperatures in the teens, it’s seems like now’s a good time to recap our trip to the pumpkin patch just a few weeks ago. It’s so crazy how quick the weather can change. This year at the pumpkin patch was one of my favorites. We went with my brother-in-law and his daughter and we couldn’t have picked a better day. It was warm, sunny, and there were lots of baby goats frolicking around.

The Top 9 Nail Colors for Fall 2018

Besides cooler weather and trees full of color, one of my favorite things about fall is all the nail polish choices. Whether it’s a light grey or deep burgundy, I have a hard time choosing exactly what shade to go with…although Lincoln Park After Dark will always have my heart.

    Weekend Recap

This was one of those weekends that I wish could have lasted forever. It was the perfect fall weekend with the most gorgeous weather and lots of family time. After being out of town for work all week, I rushed home Friday afternoon to pick up the boys. I surprised them with trick or treating downtown and they were so excited. Every year our downtown district transforms into all things Halloween and stores handout candy to hundreds of children. Despite it being cold and rainy all day, it finally cleared up and the sun came out just as the event started. Saturday was absolutely perfect with temperatures were in the 70’s…

    Easy Homemade Spicy Salsa

I’ve been on the hunt for a delicious and easy homemade salsa recipe for what seems like forever. I’ve made a green “Chipotle Copycat” salsa which was inedible and last weekend my husband made something that tasted like a runny spicy tomato sauce. Not our best moments. After scouring Pinterest and combining a couple different recipes, I had made a salsa that not only tasted like salsa but was better than most restaurants.
