    Remembering

Earlier this week I wrote a little bit about my father in law. He passed away on Saturday night from stage 4 colon cancer. It was less than 3 weeks from when he was first diagnosed to when he passed. If that doesn’t make you appreciate time, life, and your family I don’t know what will. Please say a prayer or a few this week especially for my husband and his family as we remember and celebrate the life of a great man.

    From My Family to Yours…

We wish you a very merry & bright Christmas. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  Isaiah 9:6

    Happy Grandparent’s Day!

Happy Grandparent’s Day to all the grandmas, grandpas, memaws, pampas, grannies, grampy’s, pa’s, ma’s and whatever else little ones may call you. We miss them all and wish they could be here with us. Since J’s parents live out of town we called them to tell them how much we love them and we took my parent’s out to lunch. We ate outside and the weather was beautiful! I had the kids make this little craft and we mailed one to J’s…

On Saturday we celebrated my sister’s 40th birthday with a surprise party. The theme was “Still hot at 40.” My sister and I are almost a decade apart, so growing up I always jealous of all the fun grown-up things she got to do before me like going on dates and wearing make-up.  I kept the party pretty simple so there wasn’t too much prep. I made the easiest party favors, mod-podged some pictures on the number 40, and ordered a cake with my a picture of my then 13 year old sister’s face on it. Once the margaritas started flowing I didn’t take too many pictures, but my sister…
