Visiting Tanganyika Wildlife Park has been on my bucket list for a couple of years now. I first read about the park on another blog and then after looking at their website, I became even more obsessed with wanting to go. And unlike a typical zoo, Tanganyika offers a completely interactive experience with the animals. Getting There The park is located just outside of Wichita, Kansas which is about a 5 hour drive for us. Fun on the Farm
Last weekend we headed to a research farm run by the University for their showcase. Once a year they open the farm up to the public and have tons of activities like hayrides, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, and of course animals. Kansas City Zoo
Normally when we make a trip to the zoo we head to St. Louis. It’s the zoo I always went to growing up, it’s big without being too big, and it’s free. A few weekends ago we had the most perfect weather so the kids and I decided to try out the Kansas City Zoo. The KC Zoo was recently remodeled and had a lot of new exhibits including Polar Bears. This zoo is HUGE and there is a lot of walking. You can tell the zoo was built…

The weather was in the 70’s and it was the perfect day for walking around at the zoo. Apparently everyone else had the same idea and although it was packed, we had a great time and Ben got to do his favorite thing, ride the train. The baby elephants were so darn cute. And because I’m all about the nostalgia, here is our family pic in the same spot in 2009. Ben was 7 1/2 months old. Riding…
