At the end of April we headed to St. Louis for a long weekend and to participate in a Bubble Run. Unfortunately the day of the run was cold, windy, and rainy and although they still had the race, we opted out and filled our time with other things around the city. Although we’ve been to St. Louis tons of times, there’s always something new to do with each visit. J had to work so my parents, sister and her family packed up and headed off Friday morning with our first stop at the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company. I came across this place on Trip Advisor and while the tour isn’t very…

Christmastime at Disney World {Getting There & The Hotel}
Disney is magical. Christmastime is magical. Mix them together and it’s almost too much magical-ness. Almost. I can’t tell you how much I loved being at Disney World during this time and seeing all the Christmas trees, decorations, and hundreds of thousands of lights on Cinderella’s Castle. This was our 2nd time at Disney World, the first being in November 2012. Read about our first trip here: Getting There & Hollywood Studios Chef Mickeys Magic Kingdom Epcot & Heading Home WHAT’S NEW? On our first trip magic bands weren’t a thing yet and fast passes still had to be physically retrieved from a kiosk right outside the ride by inserting your ticket…

Birthday in Chicago
Well hello. Sorry for the lack of posting, but between life and turning the big 3-0 we’ve been busy over here. J and I headed off to Chicago Friday morning for a long weekend in the windy city. And windy it was. The weather was not quite ideal (cloudy, windy, and 55 degrees), but that didn’t stop us from bundling up and making the best of it. We stayed at the Intercontinental Chicago right on Michigan Ave. I’ve stayed at here before and you can’t beat the location. It tends to be on the pricer side, but many people report that they have gotten this hotel on Hotwire so you may take…

Live Music Capital of the World
You might think this nickname is awarded to somewhere like Nashville or New York, but believe it or not Branson, MO actually stakes claim to that name. Branson’s got something for everyone. The Ozark mountains, 2 huge Lakes, the Strip, Branson Landing, Silver Dollar City, and of course any kind of show you could imagine. I’m no stranger to this city, in fact we went there 3 years ago when Ben was not much older than Jack is now. Click here to read about that trip. Last time J had to work and stayed behind, but this time we were so glad he came with us. My parent’s also came along and…

Gulf Shores, Alabama: Part III
As if dolphins and gators weren’t enough, J and Ben managed to catch this ugly little crab while digging their giant hole. Ben named him Mr. Crabby Pants but we had to quickly let him go after Jack tried to yank off one of his legs. He didn’t understand that you have to wait to do that after it’s cooked and dipped in butter 🙂 One night we separated from the rest of the group to have some family time just the 4 of us. As great as it was having my entire family around, it was also nice to spend some time just the four of us. We ate…
