When Ben first told us he wanted to do track we thought, why not? He likes to run and has endless energy so it seemed like the perfect fit. If you would have told us that he would end up qualifying for the Junior Olympics his first year I would have called you a liar 🙂 Ben worked hard this season. Along with his team, he practiced three days a week from April-August in freezing temperatures, rain, and scorching heat. Even if he hadn’t made it to the Jr. Olympics, the hard work and effort he put into this sport made us proud.

Memorial Day Weekend in San Diego
Happy Thursday! Today I’m recapping our trip to San Diego, California. Of all the places I’ve visited, both in the United States and internationally, San Diego is one of my favorites. It’s the perfect combination of city and beach life and 70 degree weather year round is my dream!

Summer Vacation in Colorado | Part 3
We spent our last full day in Colorado at The Royal Gorge and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Like most of the things we did, the gorge was a little over an hour drive from our hotel. Since our flight left the next morning from Denver, we checked out of our hotel, drove to The Royal Gorge, and then drove from there to Denver. The only bummer was we had to drive back through Colorado Springs on our way to Denver which made for a long drive.

Summer Vacation in Colorado | Part 2
With fingers crossed that the rain would hold off, we got up, had breakfast, and made the drive up Pike’s Peak. But not before making the boys take pictures in their matching shirts. I can’t help myself.
