Explore Your State | Long Branch Beach
Living in Missouri when I say “beach” I mean a lake beach, but I’ll take what I can get. Long Branch Beach is part of Long Branch State Park and located a few miles outside Macon, Missouri. We only visited for the day, but there are plenty of things to do if you want to stay longer. The park has boat access, fishing, trails, and campgrounds. You can also rent kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and knee boards.

Each year over Memorial Day Weekend my field hosts it’s annual conference. Last year J and I spent the weekend in San Diego and the year before that I went to Denver solo. I was so excited when I found out that this year’s conference was in Chicago. Not only do I love the city, but it’s only 6 hours from where we live.
