One more day until Friday!!! Can I get an amen? And what’s better to round out the week than a little recap of my favorite articles, videos, and other randomness from around the interwebs. I dare you to not laugh during this one. I was dying. “I’m about to come apart.” These 40 Must See Places to Take Your Kids have me itching to travel.Bad. This story about 14 year old Jack on Britain’s Got Talent had me all but weeping on the couch. I haven’t been able to get Dolly Parton’s song, Jolene, out of my head all week. Of course I had to do a little research to see if…

What’s Hap-Pinning Wednesday
I can’t believe that this is my first What’s Hap-pinning Wednesday but I’m so excited to be joining in and linking up with Jenn. These Grilled Maple Sriracha Chicken Kebobs from Table for Two look amazing and I’m not even that big of a Sriracha fan. This vest looks so comfy, plus I feel like you could wear it a million different ways. Every year I say I want to do something fun with our elf and this year I’m determined to make it happen. I sometimes laugh at the “homemade christmas gift” ideas posts because some of them are absolutely ridiculous and something nobody would actually want. This post though has great DIY ideas for…

Lately…
Jack pooped on the potty instead of in his underwear last night. The weather here has been 50 degrees in the morning and 80 by the afternoon which makes dressing for the day almost impossible. I just ordered the kids Halloween costumes last night. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Why is getting up earlier in the mornings so hard? I’ve already failed 3/3 mornings this week. Ben’s had a cold this week and even though I know the poor thing can’t help it, his coughing is so annoying and drives me crazy. J and I watched Vacation last weekend and despite receiving a rotten rating, we both thought…

Thirty
When I was 16 I definitely remember thinking 30 was SO old. I’ve never been one to shy away from the thought of getting older and now that I’m here it seems less like old lady status and more like maturity mixed with I can’t possibly be 30. My 20’s brought the biggest life changes thus far-marriage, babies, house buying, graduating college and graduate school, big girl jobs, moving, and so much more. I hope my thirties are jam packed with just as much as good stuff as my twenties and much fewer hangovers (I’m looking at you 21). Cheers to thirty! via via via Linking up with Annie for Thoughts of…

Remembering
Earlier this week I wrote a little bit about my father in law. He passed away on Saturday night from stage 4 colon cancer. It was less than 3 weeks from when he was first diagnosed to when he passed. If that doesn’t make you appreciate time, life, and your family I don’t know what will. Please say a prayer or a few this week especially for my husband and his family as we remember and celebrate the life of a great man.
