With snow on the ground and temperatures in the teens, it’s seems like now’s a good time to recap our trip to the pumpkin patch just a few weeks ago. It’s so crazy how quick the weather can change. This year at the pumpkin patch was one of my favorites. We went with my brother-in-law and his daughter and we couldn’t have picked a better day. It was warm, sunny, and there were lots of baby goats frolicking around.

Fall Bucket List | 2017
With the recap of our Summer Bucket List complete, I can focus on all the things we want to add to our Fall Bucket List. Some are a repeat from last fall and others I’ve added just for this year. I’d love to hear what’s on your list and I may just add it to mine 🙂

Apple Picking
A few weekends ago we crossed another thing off our Fall Bucket List that we have been wanting to do for forever. I will say that the idea of apple picking I had in my head was much different than how it actually played out. First of all, no one warned me of all the bees. Since the bees were swarming near the dead apples on the ground, my kids (and I) were actually afraid to step close to the trees to pick. Some spots were better than others, but still. Fun on the Farm
Last weekend we headed to a research farm run by the University for their showcase. Once a year they open the farm up to the public and have tons of activities like hayrides, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, and of course animals. We’ve been going the last several years and it’s always a great time plus the weather this year was perfectly fall-ish. For the second year in a row, Ben decided to stick his hand inside a cow’s stomach. Researchers create a fistula or passageway to the cow’s stomach in order to study digestion as well look at bacteria that may be growing. The staff assured was that the…

A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch
This year we drove 25 minutes to a different pumpkin patch than the one we usually go to only to find that it backs right up to a subdivision and is pretty tiny in comparison to our usual one. We pulled into a parking spot and then out just as quickly. Not to let the experience be ruined, we headed to our usual patch and vowed never to wander again. This place has the typical pumpkin patch activities including a hayride, pumpkins, farm animals, and corn maze. It’s also family owned and operated and there is a lot of land which is perfect for 2 little boys who want to…
