If you know me or follow me on Instagram, then it’s no surprise that I love reading. I read 131 books in 2023 and while that’s a lot of books, I don’t worry too much about the number. I never want reading to become a chore or find myself frantically reading through crappy books just to hit a goal. While I did read some total duds this year (looking at you, Ginger Duggar), I also read quite a few books that still have me thinking about the plot and the characters. Here’s my most favorite reads of 2023!

Favorite Books of 2022
I read a lot of great books this year including one of new all-time favorites, Southern Book Club Guide’s to Vampire Slaying. It’s not the type of book I would normally be drawn too but some of the best books I’ve read are ones where I stepped out of my comfort zone and read something totally different.

The Best Books of 2021
I set a pretty lofty reading goal of 100 books and I barely made it, finishing my last one on New Years Eve. Of those 100 books, some were fantastic, a few were pretty bad, and most of them fell somewhere in the middle. If you’re looking to read more in 2022 or you just want to read some really good books, I’m sharing the best books of 2021. I gave these 11 books a 5 star review on Goodreads which means they made me cry, laugh out loud, or think about the characters long after the last page. In no particular order, here are the Best Books of 2021.
